We’re very happy to announce the next edition of Summer Bachata Festival happening 25-27th Aug! This time we will bring you the Tropical vibes all the way from Dubai partnering with Latino Overdose! Look out for this LIMITED Edition event with new TOP Talents of Bachata!

SOCIAL COMPETITION – Jack & Jill
Our Social Dance Competition will be in a Jack and Jill format, which means that you don’t need to join with a partner, as dancers will be matched up randomly and everyone will be evaluated personally, and not as a couple.
It is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity. But the most important thing is that you will have fun!
Registration
We will have 2 categories of competition:
1) Improver / Intermediate Category (6 months – 3 years of dancing)
For improver/intermediate category participation is 10€.
2) Advanced/ Rising Stars Category ( 3 + years of dancing)
For advanced/Rising Star category the participation is 15€.
- Only the first 20 leaders and 20 followers can join in either categories.
- Minimum number of participants is 5 couples in each category.
The Prizes
1) Improver / Intermediate Category (6 months – 3 years of dancing)
- 1st leader / follower: 2 full pass for upcoming Crazy Lion Bachata Festival + 50€.
- 2nd leader/follower: 1 full pass for upcoming Crazy Lion Bachata Festival.
- 3rd leader/follower: 1 party pass for upcoming Crazy Lion Bachata Festival.
2) Advanced/ Rising Stars Category ( 3 + years of dancing)
- 1st leader / follower GRAND PRICE: become an artist at the same Bachata Festival on 28th of August (Sunday) + Professional demo video by Crazy Lion Productions+ 250€ + 2 full pass Crazy Lion Bachata Weekend
- 2nd leader/follower: 1 full pass for upcoming Crazy Lion Bachata Festival
- 3rd leader/follower: 1 party pass for upcoming Crazy Lion Bachata Festival.
Judging criteria
1) TECHNIQUE: in bachata elements, cleanliness, styling.
2) MUSICALITY: matching the style of the music (Sensual, Fusion, Dominican). Following the music structure, rhythm and musical elements, e.g. accents, breaks, syncopations, etc.
3) CONNECTION: leading/following skills and quality, the ability between partners to understand each other and have fun.
Every dancer will be judged individually as a leader/follower
Rules
- Dance couples will be matched up randomly.
- You must be prepared to participate 15 minutes before the competition starts.
- Your number tag should be displayed visibly during the whole competition
- Participance will rotate dance partners in every round.
- Acrobatics over the head are forbidden.
- Respect each other by using appropriate language.
- Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of teaching experience.
- Above all, the key rule is to… Enjoy yourself and have fun!
Song selection
- The competition will have 3 sets of Bachata music styles; Sensual, Fusion & Dominican.
- For each set of Bachata music style the organisation will pre-select 10 songs, that the participants will have access to.
